With winding cobbled streets and a harbour full of boats, the village of Mevagissey is the epitome of a small, Cornish fishing town. This quaint little settlement boasts sandy beaches, high cliffs and hidden coves in addition to a variety of stunning walks which lead along the coast in both directions. The town is also home to an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants whilst the nearby Lost Gardens of Heligan offer an excellent day out. Between Easter and September, visitors can enjoy a ferry ride between Mevagissey and Fowey, or spend some time at the Tall Ships harbour at Charlestown. With a shipwreck museum and the tropical biomes of the world famous Eden Project within easy driving distance, this beautiful area has something for everyone.
