This picturesque village lies halfway between the rugged beauty of Exmoor and the atmospheric landscape of Dartmoor. There are plenty of scenic walks to be had in this area and horse-riding facilities are easy to find. 40 minutes away, you can find yourself on four miles of unspoilt beach in the seaside town of Exmouth, part of Devon’s Jurassic Coast’. If you prefer things a little more cosmopolitan, the Cathedral city of Exeter is about 15 minutes away by car, offering fantastic shopping, alongside numerous bars and restaurants. Closer to Uffculme, you can find a variety of National Trust stately homes and other attractions include Cothay Manor Gardens, the Kingsmead Centre and the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life. Families will enjoy a day out at places such as Diggerland and Abbotshood Farm.
