From shops to pubs and craft centres to museums, this lovely remote location has something for everyone's tastes. As a film location for the popular television series ‘Monarch of the Glen', the village is incredibly lovely and can be viewed from the ‘Wildcat Trail' – a seven mile circular walk around the edge of town. This path takes in some breathtaking scenery, including the River Spey with woodland, moorland and wonderful views across the valley to the Cairngorms. With horse-riding, golfing, fishing, trekking, cycling and bird-watching all on offer in the immediate vicinity, you're unlikely to get bored on a holiday to Newtonmore.
