Local Area
:

Occupying one of the most beautiful stretches of The Heritage Coastline, Beadnell is a peaceful harbour village with historical interest. It was founded in the Saxon era and was once an important fishing village and a haven for smugglers. Now it is the holiday-makers who enjoy visiting this tranquil little village with its harbour and nearby sandy beaches. The village does have a shop and two public houses that serve food, but for more shops and amenities the town of Seahouses is less than two miles away and has a supermarket as well as numerous eateries and a variety of different shops. From this location there are boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands for keen and amateur bird watchers alike. Further afield there are castles to explore at Bamburgh and Alnwick. With so many things to see and do, Beadnell is an excellent base for an enjoyable holiday.
