The village of Halford is a rural idyll, which offers easy access to the shops, restaurants and pubs of the little market town of Shipston-on-Stour and its spectacular 17th Century church. Also within reach are Warwick's medieval castle and the fascinating ruins of Kenilworth Castle; the graceful Royal Leamington Spa; and the birthplace of the Bard - Stratford-upon-Avon - which offers Shakespeare's house, Ann Hathaway's cottage, famous theatres and historical monuments. Charmingly unspoiled and unchanged Cotswold towns and villages are well worth a visit, including Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton on the Water. Walks on the Centenary Way, golf courses, horse racing and the Heritage Motor Museum are all nearby attractions which must also be experienced.
