Local Area
:

Ebberston is a picturesque village that sits on the edge of the Forge Valley which hasbeen recognised as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village itself is small, comprising little more than a scattering of stone-built cottages and two pubs that serve good food and real ales to the locals and visitors alike. Adding to the chocolate-box effect, a stream runs through Ebberston and flows into the River Derwent. There are plenty of activities in the village, such as horse-riding, a children's play area and a nine-hole golf course. If you like a little more thrill to your relaxation, Ebberston also has a quad-biking facility. In an area of such spectacular scenery there are, of course, a number of walks and cycle-paths to explore. Slightly further afield, you will find attractions such as Dalby Forest, Pickering and Scampston Walled Garden. Railway-enthusiasts will enjoy the famous North Yorkshire Steam Railway and families will enjoy the amenities offered by the seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey.
