Rothley Folly, another National Trust property is nearby and can be seen from the hamlet. Other historic attractions include the village of Meldon and its thirteenth century church. At only five miles away, this is great place to walk to along pretty country lanes. Morpeth is only ten miles away and is set along the course of the River Wansbeck, offering various pubs, restaurants and shops.
