Since the Edwardian era it has been a fashionable holiday destination and is still known for its magnificent beaches, as well as the recent addition of its outstanding water sports facilities. Activities include windsurfing and kitesurfing, with tuition for both available in the village. Other interesting things to do include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving and golf, as well as fantastic walks through the surrounding area.
