Pheasants Lodge is a charming detached wood-clad barn conversion, set next to the owners' home on their 20-acre smallholding in Thorn near Presteigne, which is home to horses, sheep, cattle and pigs. Up the spiral staircase is a bedroom with super-king-size bed and walk-in wardrobe, though the bed can be offered as two singles if preferred. There is also a double bedroom. Downstairs is a bathroom, and an open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside, the enclosed decked area with BBQ is ideal for relaxing after a day exploring, and there is off road parking for two cars. Close to superb walking and cycling, half a mile from Offa's Dyke and within easy reach of Ludlow, Knighton, Hay-on-Wye and Hereford, Pheasants Lodge is perfect as a romantic or restorative retreat. This detached barn conversion stands in a courtyard on the owners' smallholding near Presteigne in Powys, and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.

Radnor Forest is nearby, offering superb cycling and rambling. Presteigne, a town known as The Gateway to Mid Wales, is 2.5 miles away, boasting the award-winning attraction 'The Judge's Lodgings' as well as a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. Explore the Mortimer Trail and wonderful walks to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the music of Elgar and Mike Oldfield. Visit the famous 'book town' Hay-on-Wye, or the city of Hereford, with its Norman cathedral, famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, as well as the lovely medieval town of Ludlow.
