Situated in a wonderful rural setting on the north western edge of the Peak National Park is the delightful High Peak village of Hayfield. This lovely, peaceful place is a popular destination amongst walkers, who value its proximity to Kinder Scout. For more experienced ramblers, there are the green foothills and russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, whilst those with less hill-walking knowledge can enjoy the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills to the west of the village. The start of the Pennine Way - Edale - is also just a few miles away. In addition to excellent walking routes, the village also provides pubs, cafes and restaurants whilst the near vicinity offers attractions such as Goyt Valley, Castleton - with its famous blue-John caverns - and the popular spa town of Buxton.
