The village of Cleggan in County Galway is both the centre of the sea fishing industry in north Connemara and the ferry port for Inishbofin Island. The island, located 6 miles out into the Atlantic Ocean, is renowned for its fantastic beaches and scenery and is a haven for walkers, divers and birdwatchers. Boats for deep sea angling are also available for hire from the village.
