Halgabron Mill is surrounded by 20 acres of woodland and garden, and is both beautiful and extraordinarily tranquil. A mile from Tintagel is the lovely wooded valley of St Nectan’s Glen, and within the Glen is Halgabron Mill, where former corn mill buildings and workers’ cottages have been converted to individually-designed holiday cottages.

The legends and myths of King Arthur and the Round Table are still potent in the town of Tintagel in North Cornwall – and the cliffs just beyond are dominated by the jagged ruins of King Arthur’s Castle. Visitors will love the romance of this beautiful area, with its surfer seas, dramatic cliffs and hidden coves. The town itself is pretty and welcoming, with well-run pubs, restaurants and specialist shops. The South West Coast Path can be followed in both north and south directions, and northwards leads to the charming village of Boscastle after a couple of miles. Trebarwith Strand is one of a number of good beaches near Tintagel and 15 miles away is the popular surfing resort of Bude. Also within reach are such local attractions as the Camel Estuary, the Eden Project and Bodmin Moor, which has a unique atmosphere and one of Britain’s spookiest pubs – the Jamaica Inn.
