Located in West Cork between the towns of Skibbereen and Clonakilty, the pretty village of Leap is home to a fine all-weather harness racing track, tennis court and playground as well as anexcellent selection of shops, pubs, and eateries. The surrounding area is said to be amongst the most beautiful in Ireland with sandy beaches, coves, fast-flowing rivers, lakes, hills and forests - all of which are easily accessible for walkers, cyclists and drivers. The lively market town of Kinsale is also close by and is known for its excellent local produce. Throughout west Cork visitors can enjoy a variety of festivals whilst along the coast it is possible to spot both whales and dolphins.
