There are two double rooms and a twin room, and a family bathroom. Downstairs is a kitchen with dining area and woodburner, a sitting room with woodburner and an additional snug with woodburner and sofabed, as well as a shower room. Outside is a front seating area to enjoy those village and loch views, and off road parking for three cars. East Balchraggan Cottage is perfectly placed for enjoying the attractions around Loch Ness, including Nessie exhibitions, the ruins of Urquhart Castle, The Great Glen Way, Culloden Moor and the city of Inverness. Sleeping up to eight people in three bedrooms, this detached cottage near Drumnadrochit has lovely views over the village and the waters of Loch Ness.

At the head of Urquhart Bay on the shores of Loch Ness is the village of Drumnadrochit, the centre of the Loch Ness Monster tourism industry. The Loch Ness Monster exhibition is a popular destination for young and old alike. As well as the visitor's centre, the village provides other amenities for guests including a post office, tea-room, a gift shop and several cafés. Passing through the village is ‘The Great Glen Way', a 73-mile long path running from Fort William to Inverness and makes the area a magnet for walkers and hikers. Urquhart Castle is a Historic Scotland property and is a fascinating ruin to visit. The city of Inverness is 14 miles away and has a theatre, art galleries, museums and a choice of shops, restaurants and pubs. Just outside the city is the National Trust for Scotland site Culloden Battlefield on Culloden Moor.
