Abbeyknockmoy is a lovely village which rests roughly halfway between the towns of Athenry and Tuam. There is a large farming community in the village, as well as a few pubs and shops and Abbeyknockmoy is also home to the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey which dates back to the 12th century.
