Craigview is a delightful, end-terrace cottage, superbly located in the conservation village of Straiton on the River Girvan in South Ayrshire and can sleep four people. The cottage has a double bedroom and a ground floor double bedroom, a ground floor bathroom, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. Outside there is off road, designated parking for three cars at the side and to the rear of the property in a private lane, bike storage and a lawned garden to the rear with furniture and a barbecue. Craigview is a wonderful holiday base. Note: Rear garden is separated from the cottage by a private lane. Note: Due to the property opening out to the main street, please ensure children are supervised. Note: There are a couple of steps up to the front door and a low step at the rear door. Local Area:
The village of Straiton dates back to 1760 and is set on the Water of Girvan. The Black Bull Inn dates from 1766, however, Straiton was actually re-built around 1900. Visitors to the area can fish on the River Girvan on the Blairquhan Estate or visit Culzean Castle which is on the Ayrshire coast, the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and Burns Cottage and golfing fans can enjoy a game at either Turnberry or Royal Troon. An ideal location for cycling and walking, this area benefits from the Galloway Hills and Forest Park which offers visitors mountain biking opportunities and also wonderful Dark Skies.
