Located close to the Atlantic coast in County Clare, the pretty town of Miltown Malbay is only an hour from Shannon Airport. Famed for its traditional Irish music, this charming settlement is home to the Willie Clancy music festival, held annually in July. Miltown Malbay is also close to some excellent beach resorts, including the renowned Spanish Point and Doonbeg, both of which offer excellent surfing and exceptional golf courses. The Burren National Park is positioned to the north of the town and is a wonderful place for walkers and nature lovers, offering unique geological landscapes and a wide selection of wildflowers. To the south visitors can find the striking 'Cliffs of Moher' which are best seen from one of the many boat trips available close by.
