The village of Verwood is surrounded by farmland and spectacular countryside, making it a fantastic base for touring the region. Within six miles is the boundary of the New Forest, a fascinating and scenic National Park that is known for its wild ponies, deer, pretty villages and traditional inns. The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is also close by and is full of fascinating vehicles whilst an easy drive south takes you to the award winning sandy beaches, shops, theatres and cinemas of Bournemouth. Alternatively, a trip north will lead to the historic city of Salisbury, with its stunning cathedral, Wilton House and, further afield, the Neolithic spectacle of Stonehenge.
