The vibrant town of Killarney is situated in stunning countryside, with deep valleys and glorious lakes in the South west of Ireland. The town is a popular spot with holiday makers, and has a variety of traditional pubs, excellent restaurants, shops and a theatre. There are many attractions around the town including Ladies' View, a spot named after Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting and where there are spectacular views across the town and to the MacGillicuddy Reeks, the largest range of mountains in Ireland. There are many outdoor pursuits available in the area, from fishing to walking and of course the National Park is just waiting to be explored. Just half an hour away from Killarney are some beautiful unspoiled beaches, making it a marvellous base for a holiday.
