Local Area
:

Belderrig is a traditional Irish hamlet located on the North coast of County Mayo. This is an idyllic area where true Irish hospitality can be found in abundance. Village life revolves around the fishing community and a great opportunity to meet the locals is in the village pub, offering true Irish fayre and plenty of "craic". The area is known for its historical and archaeological heritage with the Belderrig Cliffs offering some of most spectacular coastal geology in Ireland. A little further afield but within easy touring distance of this hamlet is the beautiful and bustling town of Ballina, County Mayo's largest town. With the ruins of Moyne Abbey, Rosserk Friary dating back to the 15th century, many boutiques, shops, pubs and restaurants, there is plenty on offer in Ballina at any time of year.
