Local Area:
The village of Allihies on the Beara Peninsula in County Cork overlooks Ballydonegan Bay. Each summer a festival is held in August, offering horse racing, events and dancing. Whilst in the area make sure you explore the Ring of Beara, a tourist trail of about 195 kilometres (121 miles), and also take a trip to Dursey Island.
