The open plan living area has a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with French doors to the patio. A second sitting room with double sofa bed is also available to guests. Outside, guests have use of a private courtyard with furniture and there is also off road parking for one car. With riverside pubs and restaurants to enjoy nearby, and the cultural city of Norwich a short drive away, Barn Mead Cottage makes a great base for a relaxing family holiday. Note: The cottage is next to the Norfolk Mead Hotel, which hold weddings in their new function pavilion. The venue has very effective sound insulation, but there maybe some noise disturbance as guests leave.
Local Area:
Coltishall is a pretty Norfolk village known locally as the 'Gateway to the Broads'. The village enjoys a riverside location on the River Bure, with riverside pubs and restaurants and a village store/Post Office. On the outskirts of Coltishall is the summertime pick-up point of the Bure Valley Railway, from which a narrow gauge steam and diesel service runs between the market town of Aylsham and Wroxham. In the area visit National Trust properties, the city of Norwich and the lovely Norfolk coastline.
