With two double bedrooms and one twin as well as a family bathroom, this cottage can sleep six people. The rest of the accommodation is made up of a well equipped kitchen, a summer room with a dining table and a sitting room with a woodburning stove in the inglenook fireplace. Outside the cottage is a small rear yard and a front seating area overlooking the river. Being so well situated for exploring the Peak District, 2 Brookside Cottage is the perfect holiday home for a relaxing break. The village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
