Outside the cottage is off road parking for two cars and a decked front sitting area. 2 Baillie Hall is located in one of the most unspoilt parts of Britain, and is a perfect base for exploring the Scottish borders. This stone-built semi detached cottage was once part of the church hall in the village of Newtown St Boswells and can sleep seven people in three bedrooms.

Local Area:
The town of Newtown St Boswells sits south east of the Eildon Hills, and a mile north of St Boswells. The town sits on the Bowden Burn, a tributary of the Tweed, which once provided the power for corn mills. Once a small agricultural village called Newtown, the 'St Boswells' was added with the coming of the railway in the 1800's and the settlement's elevation to a major town housing the Scottish Borders Council. When the railway left, the title remained. Newtown St Boswells is easy to find, and is ideally situated for exploring the Scottish Borders, with ancient abbeys, castles and grand houses open to the public. There are also many walks and cycle ways in the borders. Within a few minutes driving distance are Melrose, Galashiels and Jedburgh. Edinburgh is just a 40 minute drive, making this an ideal location to access the festival and Tattoo, or simply to look around the ancient city.
