It has been restored to offer a high standard of accommodation, but retains many of its original features, such as arched windows and exposed stonework. The cottage has 4 bedrooms and will sleep up to 7 people, making it an idyllic retreat for large families or groups of friends. It also has a unique location, being bordered by the railway and its slow-passing trains on one side and the river quays on the other. The railway station is about 2 minutes' walk away, giving you access to trains that will take you to the major train stations and towns in Cornwall. Lostwithiel allows you to explore the north and south coasts of Cornwall with equal ease, as the neck of land that travels down to Land’s End gets narrower and narrower.

The small Cornish town of Lostwithiel sits in the Fowey river valley. Along the coastsyou will find small fishing ports, areas of great historical interest and monuments shrouded in myth and legend which give Cornwall much of its character. Inland, you can find remnants of the famous Cornish Tin Mining industry – a profession which gave rise to the invention of the Cornish Pasty! Cornwall is also famous for its ‘eco-attitude’ and you will find many nature reserves throughout the region, such as the Eden Project, which is only half an hour away by road.
